EU Public Affairs Traineeship (FR/EN)

Location: Tribes, 13-17 Avenue Marnix, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
To start: December 2025 for a six-month contract
Salary: €1300 gross per month, plus 12 days vacation, and travel and lunch benefits (meal vouchers)
What is on offer
A 6-month-long paid traineeship with our EU Public Affairs team, based in the Brussels office, working on European and France-based projects.
You will have the opportunity to work directly on client projects and to learn from the most senior and experienced people in the business.
You will be given a one-on-one mentor responsible for your development at Hanbury.
You will be involved in our culture and have access to numerous development and training initiatives, as well as social activities.
The role
You will research policy and political developments across Europe, dealing with what happens in the EU and French political institutions and assessing the impact on some of the world’s largest companies. There will be a focus on French political developments.
You will work on some of the most defining events in European policymaking and politics, from banking and financial regulations to tech, AI, sustainability and industrial matters.
You will work in a mid-sized team (c.25 persons in Brussels), supporting client work with political monitoring and preparing political analysis.
